Trash Cleanups June 7, 2025
Another great neighbor volunteer turnout for trash cleanup! We had used some Neighborhood Partner Funds Grant monies to purchase sun-shade hats for participants. Thank you to all who were able to share an hour cleaning up the neighborhood, and Michael and Tim for dumping the trash and debris. No official trash cleanups in July or August – it’s too hot!!

We had a perfect day and an amazing turn out with neighbor volunteers and four members of the Good Samaritan at the Lakes Lutheran Church, what a great way to build community! A huge thank you to all those who spent the hour cleaning trash and debris on Via Olivero, Valadez, O’Bannon and Cimarron. We filled a five yard dumpster!!!
Missing in the above photo are, Keely and Joe, Elizabeth and friend from the church, photographer Lianna, and Tim and Michael who were picking up tree limbs dumped in the street.

We had a special volunteer join us today, Pastor Jason Adams, from Good Samaritian Lutheran at the Lakes Church. Along with six other neighbor volunteers who are always ready to help make BCNA an amazing place to live. We picked up ten full bags of trash along with huge pieces of foam and cardboard on Via Olivero, O’Bannon, Valadez, Warbonnet, and Buffalo. Thank you to all who participated this morning.
Trash Cleanups January 4, 2025
Our first cleanup of the year was a bit hampered by the strong winds and cold. We were able to pick up and dispose of tree cuttings that were on Valadez. It took four truck loads of branches to the dumpster. We also picked up two bags of trash. Thank you to the neighbor volunteers who smiled for the camera while the cold winds were blowing our hats off!
