October 5, 2024 was a warmer day than usual at 102 degrees. Carol had gotten water cooling fans that helped cool the air. We had delicious food from The Meat Wagon and Preeta’s kitchen. Candidates running for a variety of political offices mingled with the crowd. Dina set up some fun new games for kids and adults with Target gift cards for prizes. Pete and Carol made two delicious desserts and Manny shared some bundt cakes. Boyd gave a short safety talk on trespassing to help with the homeless in the park and on our streets and sidewalks. Thank you to the great group of neighbor volunteers who plan, set up and take down the event.
