Project Grant request subject : BEAUTIFICATION OF
RAISED FLOWER BEDS AT Several ENTRANCES TO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

We received permission from owners of the four planters located at; Buffalo/O’Bannon, Buffalo/Via Olivero, O’Bannon/Warbonnet and O’Bannon/Valadez.

Neighborhood Volunteers; Carol Fata, Jeanine Gibson, Renae Gibson, Shelly Christano, Dina Cianchetti, Lianna Alvarez, Alex Fata, Pete Fata, Pamela Littleton, Tim O’Rourke, Katie O’Dea, Suzanne Emerson and son Jared, Terri O’Rourke, along with assistance from O’Rourke Plumbing a jackhammer and a couple of men, we were able to pull weeds, remove rocks, trash and other debris, trim plants, and install new irrigation in the planters.

Pete Fata designed the Buffalo Art and hired Nevada Precision Sheet Metal to assist with design specifics and plasma cutting of the Art. It was powder coated to protect it from the desert weather and sun. Buffalo were installed in three planters at entrances to the community by Underground Inc. on January 8, 2021.

Plants were purchased from Star Nursery on West Charleston. Over forty plants were placed in two planters with irrigation. There are over 50 plants to be planted in the two desert landscaped planters.

A HUGE THANKYOU to all the neighbors donating money for the project. It is part of the GRANT requirement to get donations and most of the work must be done by neighbor volunteers. We have very generous neighbors who gave $1200.00 toward the project!

Pro Seven LLC will be repairing the stucco and painting the planter on the corner of Buffalo and Via Olivero soon. We hope to have plants in the planter and project completed by Valentines Day 2021.
